Easy Installation Method of Inflatable Rubber Dams
Inflatable rubber dams are good and easy to install whether it be new concrete foundations or an existing dam crest. For new foundation, we can adopt following steps for easy installation:
A fixed rubber dam before inflation
- Mark dam axes and centerline on pre-concreted foundations.
- Install embedded anchor bolts and plates.
- Install nozzle and pipes before concreting.
- Pour the concrete.
- Cut and punch holes on rubber bladders for anchor bolts.
- Anchor rubber bladder and clamping plates. For inclined rubber dam, install the inflated rubber dam from lower reaches to upper reaches and land wall. As to pillow-like dam, start from stop-ends at the corner of the dam, and then fasten the upper and lower reached of the rubber body.
- Retorque the anchor bolts and seal the bladder,
- Complete commissioning test.
When it comes to installing the inflatable rubber dams on an existing crest, you can drill holes for anchor bolts on the recessed foundations to fix the rubber bladder in conjunction with epoxy resin. And then repeat above actions to fix the rubber dam to concrete foundations firmly.
